[Plugin: TweetMeme Button] Getting Tweetmeme compatible with excerpts

I use excerpts on my homepage and archive pages. I would like to have a Tweetmeme button available on those pages but the button seems to be incompatible with excerpts. Are you thinking of designing a fix to allow automatic button insertion with excerpts?
