Convert .sql file to wxr

I recently switched hosting companies and what I am left with is a database backup file (.sql) and a backup of the website (all the other files). I have a fresh install of WP with my new host and was hoping to import the database…problem is it requires a .wxr file. Is there a way to convert this file?
