Support » Plugins » Oscommerce shopping cart in header of wordpress blog

  • So i have oscommerce AND wordpress installed on the same server account but have different directories (osc is in the root and wordpress is in the blog directory) and each has their own databases..

I have managed to suggesfully display the shopping cart in the blog’s header but for some reason the cart’s contents are not being passed through when a user goes from the site to the blog.

I am using a cookie placed in the browser to remember which user is which and not a session ID, so I do not have to worry about using session friendly urls.

So if you go to THIS link you can add an item to your cart and then click on the “blog” link to take you over to the wordpress side.

When you get there you will see that the cart just shows a 0 (the typical “no items in cart” function would actually be the text that says “0 Items”)

    SO clearly something is missing..

Then, the very strange thing is, if you click the refresh button or click on any other link within wordpress, you see the default “0 Items” text..

    So any thoughts??

Saw this post and thought i would throw my hat into the ring so to speak. My team are about a week away from creating the “holy grail” of wordpress ecommerce a fully functional and secure osCommerce plug in for WP.

Yes it is a monster task, but thankfully i have a genius running the team and we are 80% with no issues to date.

We are also looking for beta testers..you can sign up at http://www.wponlinestore.com

    Cheers
