Support » Themes and Templates » Theme Not Working In Firefox

  • Hello Everyone,

    I was wondering if I could rack the WordPress community’s collective brain. My new website, http://www.davidlernerschwartz.com is having serious problems. It works excellently in Google Chrome, yet it barely connects the proper style sheet in Mozilla Firefox. I’ve compared codes–they’re almost identical and looked and looked. It definitely looks like something is not connecting with the stylesheet. Do you guys have any idea? If you could help me out, that would be great!

    Thanks,
    David

  • Look @ line 23 of http://davidlernerschwartz.com/wp-content/themes/david3/david/style.css , probably you forgot ; after url.

    By the way, I suggest you to use multiple link tags instead of @import, it loads css faster.

    Ah thank you very much! That was very helpful. Still a problem in terms of validation… HTML Validator tells me

    Sorry, I am unable to validate this document because on line 210 it contained one or more bytes that I cannot interpret as utf-8 (in other words, the bytes found are not valid values in the specified Character Encoding). Please check both the content of the file and the character encoding indication.
    The error was: utf8 “\xD0” does not map to Unicode.

    Also, to use link tags would I instead of @import url('www.davidlernerschwartz.com/wp-content/themes/david3/david/styles/reset.css'); do link url('www.davidlernerschwartz.com/wp-content/themes/david3/david/styles/reset.css');

    It’s caused by html comment inside sidebar widget, try to re-save sidebar.php and functions.php in utf-8 plain (if doesn’t work, disable plugins one-by-one that affecting sidebar).
