Only some words appear in Tag Cloud

    When I’ve created posts previously I’ve added tag words, which have been listed in the sidebar Tag Cloud. This is good.

    Recently my latest additions to the words have not become listed in the cloud, although they are listed in the post itself. Is this a known issue, and is there an easy fix for it? Thanks.

    how many is ‘some’?

    the tag cloud normally only shows 45 tags – if you use it as a widget, it is not easy to configure.
    if you are using the code ‘wp_tag_cloud()’ then you can change the ‘number’ parameter:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/wp_tag_cloud

    you might be interested in downloading one of the ‘customizable tag cloud’ plugins which allow to change the parameter for the widget.

    I can add a little extra info to my OP that I’ve since discovered.

    I’ve found that of the two categories in my site, audio and articles, the cloud will only cloud tags that are in the Audio category. I haven’t reached 45 words yet. I’ll have a look at plugins as suggested (thank you), but if anyone has an idea why the cloud is reading tags from the Audio category but not from the Articles category, I’d be interested to hear; I expect it shall turn out to be something I’ve done wrong. Thanks.
