Removal of Comments box from page (Global)

    I’m trying to set up a simple website (not for blogging) and want to dispose of the comments box, track back link etc.? Anyone able to help me? I have the WordPress for Dummies book, but it doesn’t help.

    go to wordpress theme folder open single.php and page.php if they exist and remove this code <?php comments_template(); ?>
