ChenPress 3.0 is a WordPress WYSIWYG plugin which replace the default editor with FCKeditor 2.0 Final.
== What's new ==
1. Promote FCKeditor to version 2.0 final.
2. Put all the ChenPress files under one folder so as to reduce confusion.
3. Add a folder "UserFiles" in order to simplify the installation.
== Installation ==
1. Unzip the chenpress.zip file, and you will have a "chenpress" folder containing all the ChenPress files.
2. Upload the "chenpress" folder and its contents to your wp-content/plugins directory.
3. Move the folder "UserFiles" to your website's root (http://www.example.com/UserFiles), and set the properties of the folder and its subfolder to 777.
4. Go to the Plugins page in your WordPress Administration area and click 'Activate' for ChenPress.

This looks interesting. I am going to check it out. I had forgotten about FCKeditor for quite some time. Today I remembered it and decided to see if it what made it to a WordPress plugin yet. I'll go download this now and check it out. thanx,

Lovely plugin. Will it be updated when new fckeditor updates are available? I am asking cause fckeditor 2.1.1 is out and it fixes some annoying bugs.
Does this WYSIWYG editor stripped out <!--more--> tag like mudbomb's?
@ygirod: Actually, I'm looking for a WYSIWYG editor for WP that doesn't stripped out the <!--more--> tag.
And for chweifly: Could you please host it somewhere outside Google Group? I can't finished my downloads over there, not even when I'm using download manager.

I have gotten this to work with 2.0 with a little bit of modding.
I definitely prefer this to the current default editor.

Me too! I didn't have to do any modding, except disable the checkbox that says "use rich text editor" (with this enabled the page had both editor windows)
FCKeditor doesn't strip out the more or nextpage tags.
If anyone wants to port the more and nextpage plugin to ChenPress, you can rip it off from EditorMonkey. Just copy the plugin and modify the fckconfig.js file.

Uhmm,
Im not sure why its' not working for me.. I uploaded the files in the first place, i also moved the UserFiles to the directory root which is http://www.pumatalk.com/blog - the UserFiles is also set @ 777 but dont kwon why its not working.
Im not sure what to do? It's activated the plug in,
any suggestions?

Ahhh it does work it's just does not support Safari!!!
Which WYSIWYG that is nice and realiable that supports Safari?

i installed but it show my both editor like default and new insatlled FCKeditor i want to show only one edtior which recently insatlled what should i do ?

Hey I also have the same issue... and I am not able to view the FCKeditor on my safari browser (mac)

I just downloaded this (chenpress_3.1.1.zip) but I don't see any UserFiles folder. Where do I find this or do I create it? It's not in the files I extracted. Thanks!
