Password Protect – Cookie?

I set up a password protected page, tested it and it worked great. But several days later, I returned to the site and was given access to the page without the password challenge.

Is there an additional step I need to take to ensure that each time someone tries to access the page, they receive the password challenge? (I’ve double-checked and “password protected” is checked on the Page.)
