[Plugin: News-Ticker] News Ticker displays all item titles briefly on page load

I’m using the news ticker plugin by embedding it in my header in the template. It is set to show page titles of several of the most recent posts in succession, scrolling away to the right. It looks nice, but when the page first loads, it shows in list format about 10 of the items it’s about to scroll through for about a second or two, then functions as expected. I think this might be disturbing for page viewers and would like to turn it off or block it, but can’t figure out how to do so. Right now I’m controlling it by placing the plugin code in a div with a max height and overflow:hidden which is better since the text lower down the page doesn’t jump around to make room but I’d still like to fix if possible…
