Support » Networking WordPress » 405 error when trying to login

  • I’ve been using a multisite install and last logged in a day or two ago. I haven’t changed anything, but today when I tried to login, I was redirected to google.com with the following error message:

    405. That’s an error.
The request method POST is inappropriate for the URL /. That’s all we know.

I have no idea how this could have happened, but it’s the same no matter which browser I use. 🙁

Can you log in to any site on the network?

Can you check your .htaccess for redirects?

Barring that, try disabling all plugins (rename the plugins folder).
