• Not sure when this started but when clicking some of our Tags we get 404 errors but not with all of them. Not even sure where to start looking for the reason.

  • Why do you have index.php at the base of your permalink structure?

The ones that work actually redirect me to another URL.

What is LocalNews? Is that the base of your tag links? Seems like your permalink structure needs to be looked at.

    Works fine for me….

No clue why index.php is there. This is 99% default install so if it’s there the install or the theme did it, not me (not intentionally). Local News was something I picked early on in Permalinks since the site was to be local news types of items.

So I switched the Permalinks around to several things and everything but the current fails completely. I put it back to the way it was and as an example this fails:

    http://www.bitsofws.com/index.php/LocalNews/malware/

    This works:

    http://www.bitsofws.com/index.php/LocalNews/microsoft/

although the Microsoft tag is only pulling a single story and rewriting the link to year/month/date/post when I know there are a number of post Tagged Microsoft.

Sorry a bit confused. I really got into WP when I set this up but since then I do little but post to it and make sure it’s working and have forget 90% of how WP works or why I may have set links a certain way.

When you go to Settings > Permalinks, what happens if you set it back to the default?

Total Fail, 404 on everything plus it’s not just a 404 inside the theme showing both columns on either side it’s a full page 404.
