404 page when I click "About" (4 posts)

I'm a newbie. I just installed the NeoClassical theme.
I clicked "Manage" > "Pages" and then under "About" I wrote a description for my site, Saved it, clicked "view" and it DOES show up, but with this after my domain:

    ?page_id=2

When I return to home page and click "About", I get the 404 blank page.

What am I doing wrong? Help?

would be helpful if you provided a link to your site.

You should hit "Publish" instead of "Save".

I too am having this problem. For more debugging info, the link for about directs to:

    http://www.bobandchloe.net/about/
when the page is actually located at
    http://www.bobandchloe.net/index.php/about/

So without that index.php in the URL, I can't get to it. Should I simply try to edit the theme file containing the 'about' page by hand (nav_menu.php) or is there a more proper way to do this?

    Thanks.

[ed: I did manually change the content of the file. I primarily am interested in knowing if this will break things in the future though. Will the theme continue to keep up with the pages I edit later on? Or will I have to change all future pages. It was entirely likely the 'about' page was initially created under a different theme. ]
