This is getting ridiculous, I'm sick of seeing this issue happen so many times and seemingly so randomly and outside of my control.
I'm trying to make a subscriber an author and whenever I click "update profile" it takes me to a 404 page.
The specific url is "http://www.entertainmentcocktail.com/wp-admin/user-edit.php".
How the hell do I get past this and sort this out. This is driving me mad, please help!

Have you tried disabling all plugins and switching to the default theme. If that doesn't resolve the issue, you may want to try uploading a fresh copy of the wp-admin folder in case there's something going on with one or more of the files in that folder.
I also found some information in other forums that it might be related to .htaccess and mod_security:
