• I have 2.3 running in my web root. I also have another, non-wordpress script installed in a subdirectory off that root. The script worked in a prior, non-wordpress version of the site, but now whenever I try to browse to that subdirectory, I get wordress’s 404 page. I’m pretty sure the wordpress .htaccess is blocking access to that subdirectory but I don’t know why. Other subdirectories (like the one running bbpress) work fine.

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

    Thanks.

  • I’m having a similar problem, but it’s WordPress in the subdirectory and Textpattern in the root directory and my WP blog isn’t loading. The admin directory works, but the base directory isn’t working. I’m guessing there’s something in how the .htaccess file is written that’s making it pass back to the root directory and therefore TXP is giving me a 404 error.

    Can anyone help?
