I am building a static page and everything works. The method i use says to include the url of my blog page in my header.php file. what most of us doesn’t know or does know is that the post page is #1.

Now i use page/1 to show the blog post but its not working since i have pretty permalinks and it keeps showing my 404 page any ideas? is there any other ways to call my blog page?

I have wordpress installed in a different directory rather then the root. Not showing the directory it doesn’t seem to work (it shows the current page) nor does a 404 error show up.

I’m aware of using pages for this but I hear that pages/1 works but the 404 page seems to be saying it doesn’t exists is this a wordpress 2.5.1 thing??

This is a great static front page hack, I think if i looked closely I could have figured it out…
