Hi,
The permalinks on my site are returning 404 errors. I don't think I have done anything differently. I added a new post last week and included a bookmark code in the bottom. I thought that might have caused it. I have since deleted the code and still get 404 errors.
The permalink structure is:
/index.php/%postname%/
Category:
/category
I am on a windows IIS server.I found out about this checking webmaster tools.
If anyone has any suggestions please help. I have been reviewing forums, etc. but have not found a solution. I tried putting up an .htaccess file but that didn't work.
Thanks in advance,
Lynn
On win server you cannot use a htaccess file.
Did you try different permalink structures? i.e. using something more than only the postname?

Thanks for your response. Yes I have tried a number of different permutations and nothing works.
I am concerned because I am getting 404 errors on all my posts that have http://www.acadiawreath.com/blog/index.php/name of post and it will be effecting my rankings soon.
Any other ideas,
Thanks,
Lynn
Windows can read the htaccess file, you just have to remove the . (period) in front of it. I had the same problem. You can read my post here
