404 error when trying to access a subdirectory

    I’ve looked everywhere and I cannot find an answer.

    WordPress is installed in public_html and I added a subdirectory titled “html” with a landing page anterior.html.

    I should be able to access the page by going to http://www.abc.com/html/anterior.html

    WordPress returns a 404 error when I try to access the page. Does anyone have any idea how to access my subdirectory landing pages?

    I’m using the graphene theme and .htaccess has mod rewrite stuff for pretty permalinks but nothing else from what I can tell.

    Driving me nuts…
