404 error when permalinks changed to post name

    I have migrated this site from my local server to the live server and when I went to updated the permalinks to post name I receive the following error on all the pages:

    Not Found

    The requested URL /managing-director/ was not found on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    The site is http://confidants.com.au/

    try renaming your .htaccess file
    then re-saving your permalinks

    this should make you a new .htaccess file

    Where did you get the theme in use from?

    I renamed the .htaccess file and resaved the permalinks but that didnt resolve the issue.

    The theme was purchased from Themeforest
