Hi All,
I'm getting a 404 error page when trying to access mysite.com/wp-admin.
I installed wordpress through cPanel/Fantastico which comes pre-installed in any hosting account with seoHosting.
"And when i try to access mysite.com i get a page saying:
Great Success !
Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server
If you can see this page, then the people who manage this server have installed cPanel and WebHost Manager (WHM) which use the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content."
Please help
Many Thanks
Ziad
look in the public_html folder for a placeholder file like index.html or default.html
delete it and the wordpress index.php will then work
you may have to refresh your browser after doing this

Thanks Samboll,
i found one called index.php in public_html is this the one i should delete?
If it installed, would open a support ticket with your provider and ask them how to access the WP install. WOuld not want to delete files that might be part of WP. If that file did not beling the fantastico install should have failed with an error.

ok i deleted the index.php file but i still have the same error.
No matter what i type in the URL i still get the same message.
You did not follow what I wrote. There is a great chance that was the Indexs.php from wordpress and now it won't work unless you replace that file. As a Fantastico user it might be more dangerous to give you manual instructions to replace.
