404 error after updating WP – can't get inside the site

    Hi all,
    I’ve update my site as the WP recommended and then it stopped working right.
    When I try to login with admin, it sends me to 404 error page.
    What can I do????

    First thing is to try to delete your browser cache or to use a browser that never used WordPress before.

    This helps to isolate what the problem could be.

    Update on its own don’t cause problems unless your machine crashed before the update was completed.

    we tried all the listings and nothing helps.
    what can I do???

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
