404 Error

    Hello, complete newbie here. Developer got the site up and running. I am now doing maintenance. I noticed there is a 404 error when selecting the second slider picture and then clicking on the welcome pop up box. I’m at a loss here on how to fix it. Could anyone point me in the right direction? http://www.carthagecrossroads.com

    Is there a welcome page published in WordPress pages?

    If not, I would adjust that link to go to another page.

    Currently, your “welcome pop up box” is linked to http://carthagecrossroads.com/hello-world/

    Make sure the url is correct.

    I’m sorry, but I don’t understand. There is no welcome page in WordPress pages. There is not a Home page either. I still don’t understand why not. The URL for each of the welcome pop up boxes is different depending on which slider you chose. I looked on the test website the designer set up and it’s working and it has the same URL as the “real” site. I don’t understand why the welcome pop up takes you to what’s called “posts” instead of pages. If they took you to a page then I could check the page link. But since it’s a “post” not a “page” I don’t understand what to do.
