• I’m having problems with WP changing my html code when posting or creating a page… it’s removing my code, adding code, jumbling etc.

I got one answer from somebody who didn’t even bother to read the help request. thus absolutely no help

From reading the post, I gather there are two options…

    1. Disable the rich visual editor – NOT an option for us. Repeat… NOT an option for us.

    2. install the Text control plug in.

I installed the plug in but can’t find any instructions on how to use it.

There are two drop down menus and have no idea how to use them or each feature means.

    Menu 1
    Default (wpautop)
    Textile 1
    Textile 2
    Markdown
    nlr2b
    No formatting

    Menu 2
    Default (webtexturize)
    Smarty pants
    No character encoding

Can someone please tell how and when to use these features?

No matter what combination of the menus I use the problem still isn’t solve… The only combination that comes close is default (webtexture) with nlr2b but it creates a 3 inch gap from at top of the post… the editor in WP is really horrible…

    Thanks
    Ann

  • One thing I have learned from here is that you can’t just come here expecting to get help. People will help if they want to…

Are you saying that this is a plugin issue? The plugin is adding and removing things? If this has to do with a certain plugin, then this is probably the wrong place to ask for help. Contacting the person(s) who made the plugin would be better. Otherwise it will be a shot in the dark to get help for it here.

Why is disabling the rich text not an option? IMHO, it is just as easy to go without. You get a toolbar to do all the basics. All you have to do is highlight whatever text you want to, say make bold, and then click the bold button…viola…

give us a lil more detail other than things are being added or subtracted from your codes?

    Thanks,
    Kahil
