• When I upgraded to wordpress version 2.9.2 I notice an annoying bug. Every time I open a blog post or create a new post using IE 8 32-bit version (running Windows 7 64-bit) the comments and trackbacks enabled option gets cleared. If I check these two boxes and update the post, the comments and trackbacks are still disabled, and the checkboxes for comments and trackbacks get cleared during the update process.

If I switch to another web browser such as safari, or IE 8 64-bit, the problem does not show up. In safari or IE 8 64-bit, the comments and trackbacks remain set during the update process. I use IE 8 32-bit version because IE 8 64-bit does not support flash.

  • Have the same problem after upgrading to 2.9.2 with one of two blogs (even though both use the same template).

For me, the problem occurs in both Chrome and Firefox…
