• I have three blogs and I have placed in each some google ads. They simply do not work! I got zero so far other than impressions, nobody cares to click on these ads. I do not know if this is against google or because of it…I am removing one from my main blog because I feel it cheapens the whole blog and plus I get NOTHING….

    Any ideas or advice?

  • Yeah, at this point, the web is so over saturated with Google ads that they’re just kind of background noise, IYKWIM.

Are you just trying to pay for a hefty server bill or cover your costs? If you have a good loyal following, they might be willing to donate if you toss a Paypal button up in your sidebar.

If you’re trying to bring in actual income from your site(s), you have to ask yourself id you want to make money off of your visitors or advertisers. Do you have content or features on your site that people would be willing to pay a membership fee for? Or does your content attract a specific demographic of visitors and bring in enough traffic that you could sell ad space yourself?

Check out http://www.kachingle.com (coi: I am the Tech Marketing Lead at Kachingle), which is a new way for readers to support your blog and others they read regularly.

We’re about ready to publish a WP plugin to simplify the process slightly but you can add us to WP now, as seen on our blog.

Given this is self-promotion I don’t want to go further here but am happy to respond via email (bill at companyname.com) if you have questions.

making money from your blog is not easy, if you have got a niche blog and you are getting about a 100 unique visitors coming from search engine daily, then you can earn a $1 a day. (Speaking from experience, it can vary depending on from where you visitors are coming or on what niche you are in…)

Let us know the url of your blog(s) so that we can give you a more targeted reply. the secret is to keep adding unique content, unique articles 🙂
