Need Help Hacking Subscribe2 to fit a Retro Sign Background

In a nutshell, what I am trying to do is hack the Subscribe2 widget to work within a retro signage background I created.

What I am trying to do is position the subscribe2 form field over this retro background using absolutely positioned divs, and use one of the divs ad the submit button. That part is pretty simple —getting it to work and how to do the next couple steps has me stumped.

There is a form in place on the following page, plus several images and a lot of text showing what I want to accomplish….

I can generally do this kind of hack, but am stuck on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS – Feel free to use the images —just ask if you need a modification.
