Can’t get ANY contact form to work – debugging ideas please
-
Hi,
I have a new site up and running on 2.9.2 but I cannot get any contact form plugin to send an email to the required account. I’ve never had problems with these plugins on any sites before. To debug, so far I have done the following:
1. Established that the plugins (‘Contact Form 7’ and ‘cforms’) work perfectly on an identical hosting account with same hosting company.
2. By creating a simple website with simple contact form (on the same hosting acount as my problem WordPress site) I have established that I can uccessfully send an email to the required account from this hosting.
3. Installed my WordPress theme on a different website, and successfully sent eails.
4. Installed the ‘Default’ WordPress theme onto my problem hosting, but the plugins FAIL in sending emails.
5. Re-installed the WordPress 2.9.2 (using the Tools > auto-upgrade)
6. Backed up, then deleted the entire site and database, then reinstalled WordPress (importing the backed-up .sql file)My thoughts are that, as a last resort, all I can do now is to buy alternative hosting and re-build the site (manually), testing the plugin forms as I go, but this will take quite a while.
Any suggestions of what else I can try to debug?
Thanks,
Andy
