[Plugin: Gigya Socialize – Increase Registration and Engagement] Making Direct Twitter/MySpace API C
-
This plugin is great and I’ve already made enhancements to it, one of which I gave to the developers to create the v1.1.8 update. I’m also working on allowing connection to multiple social networks at the same time and other nice enhancements.
There is one thing Gigya provides for free that no other competitor provides and that is the ability to make direct API calls to the social networking provider. For Facebook, this is cake as full Facebook Connect functionality is supported.
However, there are no examples as to how to make these direct API calls to other containers, such as Twitter or MySpace. Would Gigya be willing to provide an example? I see the Gigya API to retrieve session information (http://wiki.gigya.com/030_API_reference/REST_API/socialize.getSessionInfo), but there is no sample code for how to use it.
I’m used to be able to do things like $facebook=new Facebook(API_KEY,SECRET_KEY) and then $facebook->api_client->whatever. How do we do this with Twitter and Facebook, though?
Thanks!
