I’m sorry but I can’t find where to change this either. I would also like to add a couple of fields and remove the subject field. I know the answer is there somewhere right under my nose and I swear I have read through everything both on the options page and this forum. Thanks much.

OK! The issue was that I needed to update to a newer version of the plugin. I went to the plugins page because I was going to look at the code and it informed me that there was a newer version, It updated in like 5 seconds and I’m good to go. This plugin rocks!! I’m totally going to make a donation. : >

hmmmm… and I still can’t see the option on the settings page, and I have the latest version installed. Am I blind?? 🙂 Any hint? Thanks

Here are the settings to look for on the plugin settings page just after where you enter the email address:
“Enable hidden E-mail subject (removes subject field from contact form)”
“Enable hidden message (removes message field from contact form)”

Ah, I found it!! 🙂 Thanks a lot!

    Howdy Mike,

I am also trying to use the plugin to create a “News Letter” widget. I have been working with “form 2” and I cannot find the

“Enable hidden E-mail subject (removes subject field from contact form)”
“Enable hidden message (removes message field from contact form)”

boxes anywhere. Were they removed in the most recent version or something?

    Thanks,
    Brian

It was changed from the way it was in older versions.

On the contact form settings page, scroll down a ways.
Look for the “Redirect” settings , it is just after that, a very large URL link:
“Click for Advanced Options (form x)”
It is a link on the same page that expands
the page to make it longer.
There you will find Extra fields you can add, also settings to make
the message or subject field ‘not required’ or ‘not available’.

Mike thanks for the response. While I was poking around in the setting, i actually tried that. And when you responded, I tried it again, and when i select to make those fields “Not Available” or “Not Required” it does not change anything. Could this be a bug?

Make sure you are working on the correct form, try the preview link and see the results.

    Does it work now?

That was the way I was check to see if it was working. Just out of curiosity, I toggled through “Not Required” and “Not Available” 5 times. On the last one it seemed to “take”. And seems to be working now.

    Thanks

Do you have cache plugin active? that could be the cause of the delay in changes.
