I’d like to list the most recent one or two posts (perhaps with excerpt) on another page. Can someone direct me to an example of how to do this or a an explanation of what is necessary?

more specifically:

u want a page like this?
http://www.sushubh.com/ (notice the last 10 post headings)
or
http://www.sushubh.com/syndications/ (post headings + excerpts)
the above is done calling the database itself.
the second is done using rss syndication.

I think I’m looking to do something like your last 10 posts (except maybe last 2 or so posts with excerpts). So I guess I can do that just by calling the database directly.
But I never thought of reading my own RSS syndication feed. How is that done? Are there PHP utilities that allow you to do this?
