  • I have been testing plugins like http://www.viper007bond.com/wordpress-plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ in the hope that if I choose to adjust or change my theme in the future that I’ll have some flexibility with image sizes.

Having said that, what is the best practice to leave oneself the most options regarding image sizes?

I tried the regenerate plug-in and it works well relative to generating new thumbnails but how does one easily change the links in each post to link to these resized thumbnails? Let’s say that I inserted all of my images using a thumbnail size of width=270px. Now I would like all of my thumbnails to be width=400px. The regenerate plugin takes care of the resizing but it doesn’t point the links in each post to the new images with width=400px.
