I run a website (www.violintutorpro.com) that is a violin lessons based site and have interest in expanding to a membership base and more products for different ability levels. I have purchased the membership management system “Extreme Member” which uses WordPress as a hosting ground. I have been overwhelmed by wordpress in the past and hoping I can get some questions answered that will help me hopefully get me started in the right direction.

I am using Yahoo Sitebuilder at the moment and am building 5 section folders of different ability levels for learning the violin. I also want to implement a membership section that can also be purchased on a recurring basis that has bonus videos that go along with the lessons. I want to charge about $5/month for this. The problem is…I am so overwhelmed by how to get all this to work! I know what I want, but am stuck on exactly where to turn and how to set everything up. Please help!!!!

    I guess I’ll start with a few general questions…

    1. Can I continue building pages on Yahoo Sitebuilder and somehow have that working along with Extreme Member?

    2. How do you set-up log-in pages for customers?

    3. I am currently using Clickbank Payment Solutions. Is it easy to set this up to work through Extreme Member and how do you do that!!??

    4. Currently I am securing folders on my server and manually adding user names and passwords. Is it easy to set up a system to where this is done automatically? How can extreme member safely secure my content in different folders?

    5. Would extreme member manage only my membership section? What about products that I sell (like what I have on my site now, provide automatic log-ins and know what folders each customer has access too.)

I feel like there are so many buttons and I don’t know what to try to mess with first. I started watching the tutorials and still feel lost. Hope someone can help!

Most of your questions seem to relate to a specific, paid-for, plugin. I’d suggest if you have turned over cash for this plugin you should seek specific support from its author.

    Hey there ViolinTutorPro,

All your questions are pretty easily answered. @mrmist is right you should contact us rather than the WordPress community. Our system is fully hosted (not just a plugin) so many of the things are just not related to the WP side of things.

Please contact support (support@extrememember.com) for assistance.

In short you can have your other sites (funnel sites) setup to generate sales/leads for your membership site (ExtremeMember.com site)
Your EM site will handle the payments (clickbank integration), the securing content, the email marketing, don’t worry about securing folders put the content into posts/pages.

It also handles all the sign up, registration, login, passwords etc. that’s all automated so you don’t have to worry about it.

    Shane
