If I want to implement LeagueManager to keep track of the World Cup Soccer in its exact format (32 teams, Group stages with groups of 4, 2 advance from each group, then knockout), what settings do I use in the Championchip mode to achieve this?

What should the values for: Teams Ascend, Teams Descend, Teams Relegation and Teams Advance be?

  • You only need Teams Advance set to 2. Teams Ascend, Teams Descend and Teams Relegation are only used on normal league mode to mark teams that ascend/descend into higher/lower league. Also insert the groups, e.g. A;B;C;D. Then add teams and put them in the respective group. Finally you can add matches for preliminary rounds for each group.

Also add the final rounds symbolically using the drop-down “Actions” in the finals sections on the league overview page.

The World Cup format works fine apart from the Team and Match pages created through championchip. Seems to add the team into every single group.

See here: http://www.thisisfootball.co.uk/groups/?team=9 to see what I mean.

    Any ideas?

When I change the date or time of 1/16 matches the next step is that the teams names are not shown and I get only 1Group C 2GroupD (and so on) and then the next step I get this message:
“It seems the previous round is not over yet.”

I can’t change any other result.

thisisfootball, i notice your world cup page has the groups, fixtures etc. laid out correctly. i’m having the problem you had where all the group tables have been merged together – how did you resolve this?
