When I create a menu layout with multiple submenus, after I save the layout, all of the sub-menus or child-menus are moved up under a single parent menu. See the screen shots for clarification:

Before I save the layout. This is the desired order:

The undesired layout after I save the menu:

It does not matter what order I out the parent menus. I also made all of the categories first level categories, but that did not help either.

It would be nice if when you added a category and it’s sub-categories, the sub-categories woud automatically display as child-menus of the parent category in the menu layout. As it is now, you have to manually order the sub-menus.

And as I have noted in a previous post, the full content of my blog is in the source code of the menu page. I copied the source to text editor and saved it. It was 1.1M with 120 posts. All of the text from every post was in the menu page source code.

I just wanted to note that I had deactivated all plug-ins to take them out of the equation. I also performed an update of the site just prior to taking the screen shots on 4-2-2010. However, the problem has been present for about 2-3 weeks.
