[Plugin: WP-Sticky] works but only with same date posts

    Sticky works showing the one post I selected on the front page, but only if I date all the blog posts the same date. If I post another date, then it shows rather than the sticky I selected. I also tried doing this with the native wp setting, but it seems to show more than one post on the front page – I only want to show one post. Any suggestions? Thanks much!
