Support » Fixing WordPress » a way to have pages with same name but in different places in the hiearchy?

  • Hi, I’m testing around with the pages to make a multiple author site with a few individual pages… Just noticed that it doesn’t work to have pages with the same name in different places in the page hierarchy, eg. “/user001/photos/” and “/user002/photos/”… the page just lists the content of both “photos” pages.

Is there a way to get round this? By a plugin or hacking the system in some way? I guess I could make special cases in the .htaccess files for that one, but if everyone is to be able to add their own subpages, this might happen in more cases…

  • At the moment the easiest way seems to be manually setting the post slug, but I guess that’s not much help in a multi-user environment.
