• First off, this constant-contact-api plugin is fantastic. I am so happy to be able to integrate Constant Contact into WordPress sites in such an easy and thorough way. However, I have noticed something odd on a site I am putting together. The correlation I can make between the errors is that it seems to not be accepting emails with a – in them (i.e. email@web-address.com). Otherwise it seems to be working great. Is there a reason for this or a way to fix it? (Or is this not a problem for anyone else?) Or at least something I could put as a suggestion to visitors of the site who are having the problem, like in the “Sorry…” message that pops up?

    Thank you!

  • I think you need to ask constant contact, if the email is accepted fine in wp then it’s nothing to do with wordpress or the plugin and has something to do with constant contact.

The plugin does not validate the email address in the register form because wp does, in the widget it uses the wp is_email() function to validate the email address, which is the same as what the register form uses I think.

Maybe you can provide more info, like what error you receive?

Please let me know what constant contact say if you get in touch with them:

Thank you for the response! Right when I was going to post I saw a similar topic already opened: http://developer.constantcontact.com/node/967 so I have added to it and will post back if it is resolved.

Thank you again, really great plugin.

    Has this been fixed?

Sorry for such a delayed response. It seems to be working fine now with dashes, etc. in emails so they must have fixed something. Thank you for this plugin (again!!)
