upgrade from v1.0 to v1.5.1.2, comments disappeared!

hi!

I’ve just upgraded versions, and a huge one at that. I couldn’t take the comment spam anymore!

Well I’ve upgraded and i have a problem. All my index, comments etc was in the root folder (as it is ib v1.0) but now i see that the new version uses themes and all and I’m confused. :\ If you look at http://gurge.chinoiseries.net/?p=280#comments for example, my comments have disappeared! I still have my old wp-comments.php in my root folder and I’m pretty sure my old index.php file with my layout in my root folder which i’m using is still refering to the old wp-comments.php file. I have a feeling it has to do with this template thingy? I still use the index.php in my root folder to keep my old layout. So i’m a tad confused!!

Also, i cant edit my index.php in wp-admin anymore? Cause they only give me the option to edit files default or classic folder…
