Using MORETAG within Photo Gallery?

Hello.

My blog is edited by several members of staff, each time putting 10+ photos into a gallery.

Ideally I would like to have three images shown on the home page, with a more tag, to the rest of the photo gallery within the post.

At the moment, I have trained the staff to insert one gallery with three images in, then a more tag, and then another gallery with the rest of the images in.
This ensures that only the first three images are shown on the home page.

Is it possible to specify when uploading the photos into the gallery, that I only want the first three images shown on the homepage?
