there are so many posts on this and no solutions that i’ve found, only other people saying they also need help.
which version are you?
i’m 2.9.2, and my theme files don’t seem to have a comment loop, which is what makes me a bit stumped in trying to do this.
please, anyone out there willing to suggest anything?

I can’t figure out comment numbering, I tried plugins but don’t know how to edit the code.
