    hi, I am new to WordPress and was wondering if someone can give an intro and the MUST READ posts.

    I am trying to start a social network website with rating options. Can someone guide me whether or not I can use WordPress for this purpose and give me some guidance on what they found useful?

    also I was wondering how I can customize the front page? I have used Drupal before and was wondering if there are any views feature? or anything similar to blocks where I can add to the content page?
