Need a recommended Image Gallery Plugin

    Can someone recommend a good Image Gallery Plugin

    I’ve had a look and can’t find anything decent

    NextGen?? Why is this one of the MOST popular downloaded plugins?

    I’ve seen it many times – each time I think, I must be missing something!
    There HAS to be more to it!

    I’m not impressed – but maybe I’m missing something?

    i must be missing something
    there seems to be an option to be able to add galleries
    i’ve spent an hour searching!
    i can’t find gallery mentioned anywhere in my WP installation (v 2.9.2)
    where is it!!

    if i can find gallery, then i can use lightbox – that will do me fine

    pulling my hair out!

    Helloo OMR,
    Yes NextGen is the best gallery plugin on WordPress.. Can you just be more clearer about what all features you like from it?

    You can have a cool photo gallery, slideshow and all using that only. Also Nextgen have some add on plugins developed by some other people which enhances the capabilities of Nextgen.

    I’ve used NextGen Gallery over and over again and it’s the best one out there. It’s also the easiest one to use from a client perspective. So if you’re designing a site for someone else, I would recommend it.

    guys thanks for the replies
    i figured out how to add a gallery through WP in the end!
    i didn’t realise that u HAD to upload new fresh images for ur gallery to a single page
    i assumed u could just select from existing images u already had!!

    nextgen?? hey i still think it’s no good! 🙂
    niraj: i had a look at ur website
    and looked at the gallery – yes, it’s ok and simple
    but, i wanted to have sort of animation – like flash or lightbox!
    i couldn’t find anything like that anywhere for any galleries

    in the end, i have used the lightbox gallery plugin – which works nicely when i create a gallery through the WP system

    or am i still missing something about nextgen?
    i’ve looked at all examples and there’s nothing to shout about! 🙂
