Their should be an “Insert into Post” button, go into your gallery and click show and under the align and size for thumbnail it has the button.

Unfortunately, I only have “Insert into Post” under the align and size for thumbnail. There is no “Insert as Thumbnail” as shown in the video.

If anyone can help me with this, I would appreciate it.

Just click the thumbnail version it links to your full size image and insert into post places the thumbnail there. If you have an example of what you are trying to accomplish if this doesn’t answer go and post it.

I’ve tried that. It just puts a thumbnail sized image in the post.
For example, what I would like, with WPtouch are the thumbnails to show. They don’t because it only places the image into the post…not as a thumbnail for the post.
This is what I don’t have(shows this in the wordpress video):

Go to WPTouch’s forums or community site for help. It could just be a setting you have to enable if it’s a feature they offer, or a line of code that needs to be inserted.

This is a new feature in wordpress 2.9. I am running 2.9.2
I just used WPtouch as an example.
Another example is the the theme I am using, WP-Creativix, it is thumbnail compliant. But, because I cannot upload a thumbnail, my posts all have a ? beside them instead of a thumbnail.
Take a look at this video:

I have tried all the themes mentioned.
I don’t have a thumbnail button since I upgraded to 2.9.2. I’m thinking of downgrading.
Justin Tadlock has a nice article about it here:

In short though – insert the following into your functions.php file:
add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );
