help removing whitespace between divs in header area

    Hey there
    I am running wordpress 2.9.2 with a modified version of the magicblue theme. In the header area I have a banner image followed by a Nav UL. I decided I wanted to add a quote in the header area between the banner image and the nav ul so I created a new div to contain the quote which works fine but there is a bar of white space between the banner image and my quote div and I cannot for the life of me figure out where that is coming from. Any removing that white space would be appreciated as I want the banner image to flow into the quote div.
