I am using WP on an IIS hosting provider. I made a number of recommended hacks to get things working on IIS and all was well until my host changed their IIS server config to name the drive with the letter "D" rather than "C".
I made the change in the Options/Misc admin page but I still get an error message generated from "upload.php" that I don't have write permissions on the specified directory.
Any assistance would be appreciated..

I understand the login part. All was working well until my host changed the drive letter designation. Here is the error message:
Warning: copy(d:\inetpub\ewrks\blog/wp-content/bb_click_banner_mouse_2.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in d:\inetpub\ewrks\blog\wp-admin\upload.php on line 170
