API key for wordpress self hosted accounts? | WordPress.org

I am trying to link my youtube account with my blog and it requires an API url and an API Key, I have clicked on numerous links to try and locate this API Key and its not on my control panel like it is for wordpress.com users. Can someone help with this issue?

Self-hosted wordpress.org sites don’t have an API key or url. What/who is asking for this data? WordPress or YouTube?

With a self-hosted WordPress blog you can retrieve the same API key you used for Akismet plugin under Akismet configuration.

If not, sign up for a API key at http://www.wordpress.com, just sign up but don’t have a hosted blog. An API key will be generated.
