links not staying in order

    Hello,

    My links aren’t staying in the order I put them in in the settings- I set them to order by the rating number and click apply, but when I look at my page they are back to alphabetical (or order by name)- any help would be great!

    How do you display those links? Using a Widget? Using code in your template such as sidebar.php?

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay in responding-

    I’m using the sidebar links widget and in the settings you have the option of ordering them by name, address, link ID and rating. When I choose to order by rating and hit apply all the links go in order from 0 to 5 (as I have given them these ratings), but when I view the site they are back in order of name (alphabetically). My site is set to private right now as I am just learning WP and don’t want someone stumbling on to it just yet. I’m actually working on this so I can set up a WP site/blog for my church- I’m just using a site I’m going to get going to do the learning on.

    Thanks for the plugin link, Shane.

    I’d like to resolve this without adding a plugin and am wondering if it’s a problem with WP? Is anyone else having this issue?

    I’ll try the plugin if it continues, so thanks again for posting it 🙂
