YouTube Videos in Shine Yellow Plugin

    Two questions:

    1. How can one show YouTube videos on Shine Yellow?
    2. I am working on a WP website that shows YouTube videos placed in a custom field. The link to YouTube video file appears in this way in the custom field:
    http://www.youtube.com/v/EFzt7l98588&hl=en_US&fs=1
    As you see it is not the regular way of embedding the YouTube videos. Is there any way to use Shine Yellow Plugin to show these videos? If not how can I show those videos in this player?

    Hi Bluebird2,

    1. It uses the same system of LongTail Video, and this plugin is just an adaptation for it. Please, read the documentation of playlists/videos insert on LongTail website: http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/Player5Formats I believe there is the response for your question.

    2. For use Shine Yellow how custom field.. Good, what you need to do is a way to the custom video use the %HREF% attribute how the link to the video and are all fine, the video will works 🙂 You need to see the file ‘shine-yellow.php’ and see how i make the %href% works and make the custom field based on it. Know too that JW Player can not play HD videos from Youtube. This is an API problem with it, but the author will release this funcionality on the future.

I have plans to Shine Yellow too, i want to do an “icon” on Visual mode and a plugin to Windows Live Writer. I want to make this plugin more simple and fast possible, and i’m happy that you want to “help me” to do it.
