Hi. I have an issue that is probably super easy to fix, but I don’t know how.

I’m using WordPress as a CMS, applying php to a CSS/HTML theme I made. I want to try using Custom Fields in my Pages, but the Custom Fields area is not even in my Pages section. It’s there in Posts, but not there in Pages.

So… how do I get Custom Fields to appear, under Pages, on the admin side? Thanks!

    Anyone? Bueller?

Custom Fields appears on every Page, in both Add New and Edit, on my Admin panel. And has been back to at least 2.8 for me; I’m running 2.9.1 now. I’m not confused as I don’t use Post, just Pages.

I couldn’t find a way to make them disappear, but I didn’t make a life’s work of it.

Are you using a Plug-in or something else that modifies the default Admin “Theme”?

Hmm. I did have Magic Fields in there (as a plugin) but all my plugins are deactivated so I don’t think it’s that. I built the “theme” from scratch, so I’m wondering if I deleted a line of php or something that needs to be there. However, I didn’t touch any functions.php files or anything – just [pagename].php.

The answer is: I’M AN IDIOT. The screen options tab, top right in the admin end, pulls down to show options of what you see on your page. Custom Fields was not selected. Click it, and voila! it appears. What are the odds.

    Thanks for the effort, adiant.

Thanks for the update. I just love happy endings!
