I have been crazy busy lately, only just now able to poke at this release (3.6)

I’m always the guy stuck on old IE due to work restrictions. Anyway, I’m running IE8.

Adding a post using the Quote format doesn’t seem to give much indication of what goes where.

We have the general instruction, Copy a quotation into the box. Also add the source and URL if you have them.

Then 3 stacked empty fields. I assume they are the quote, credit, URL in that order?

There just doesn’t seem to be much indication of what to do with what field, and then what the WYSIWYG window might be for, if anything?

I realize everything most likely looks groovy on a real browser, is this the intended layout on IE8 (are we still supporting IE8?). I’m cool with it, so long as I understand the purpose of the fields, it just seems a bit vague. Thank y’all!

    They’re empty?

They look like this for me (pardon the MP6…): http://cl.ly/image/1Q3t0Y0K1y14

ETA: It’s not you… well it’s you, but it’s ALL IE! Except 10. Bugger.

Can’t see your image – work is blocking it.

    Here’s what I have

Yeah, I’ll play around to see what else I see. Unfortunately, I’m stuck at IE8 for now at work. We are always behind.

But as long as WP supports older browsers, I’ll be the guy that unwillingly gets to test WP on ’em!

If you want to test and comment, I pulled this: http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/23938

I think the first patch is better, and it went okay on Virtual Box, but I need an IE 10 to double check.

We did a first pass cleanup, but it’s not perfect. Ticket staying open incase someone has a better idea that isn’t invading Russia in winter.

Sorry on the delay…. I also have to way to test anything through work because everything is blocked when it comes to getting at my files. I will check it out asap!

The solution works for me! Got some text indication of what should be going where when I use IE8, which is exactly what I felt was needed – Thanks!
