Fill WordPress Calendar with Custom Field Dates

    I was wondering if it’s possible to somehow modify the WordPress Post Calendar to display not the Post dates, but the date value Stored in a custom date field of a certain category? If possible I don’t want to use a plugin such as Event Calendar etc..
